Places of Interest around Perthshire

Perthshire officially the County of Perth (Scots: Coontie o Perth, Scottish Gaelic: Siorrachd Pheairt), is a registration county in central Scotland.  It extends from Strathmore in the east, to the Pass of Drumochter in the north, Rannoch Moor and Ben Lui in the west, and Aberfoyle in the south. It was a local government county from 1890 to 1930.  Perthshire was known as the "big county" and had a wide variety of landscapes, from the rich agricultural straths in the east, to the high mountains of the southern Highlands.

Perthshire is one of the best holiday destinations in Scotland and the UK. Golf, cycling, hill walking, angling and many more activities are available.

It has Scotland's largest music festival, T in The Park is in July and it's only 17 miles from Perth.

If you are interested in the Arts then you can find out all you need to know about Perth Festival of The Arts.

Perth Concert Hall also boasts a diverse programme of music and events all year round.

Still in the cultural vein, the award winning Perth Theatre has a colourful and exciting programme throughout the year.

If you are looking for a fun day out for the family Perth Agricultural Show is on every year in the summer.

For the adrenalin junkies why not test your nerve by trying out one of 36 outdoor activities on offer in Perthshire, cliff jumping, bridge swinging or sphereing to name but a few.
